Your post said:"The original data file gave Normal Enchant a 10%, Expert 5%, Master 10% and GM 20%. This made no sense. We consulted with the lead designer and he confirmed that is (sic) was a mistake. On his recommendation we changed it to 5-10-10-20."
My healer is trained up to Expert rank in Spirit Magic. According to your post, she should be enchanting at 10% per skill point, right? She's not. She's at 5% per skill point. That's my complaint. Why is she at 5% instead of 10%?
She is NOT expert in any other skill, and that includes Elemental Magic. She is still a novice (or beginner, if you prefer) in everything else. According to your post, the game is treating her as if she were still a novice in Spirit Magic instead of an expert.
A side note: Her enchanting ability does not change when I remove the belt that gives her +3 skill in Spirit Magic; it remains at 40% as though she was still wearing the belt. Her skill points also do not drop back to 5 as they should; they stay at 8 as if she was still wearing the belt. The skill number also stays darkened (boldface?) as if she still wore the belt. In short, the game does not seem to care whether she is wearing the skill increasing item; it behaves as if she is weraing it whether she is or not. She (and my other three characters) were all wearing their enchanted items when I patched. Is this a new bug?
Thanks,
Camden
