Am I more evil than Archibald?

I worry about this... I could have daved the world on April the 25th 1165, but instead I left the reactor alone.

Every week I come back and kill the devils again, but I never finish them off. It's been 12 years now and still I let the devils live, just so that I can use them to train against.

12 years Enroth has had to suffer just so that I can get stronger. I fear that Archibald has corrupted my soul beyond redemption...

Speaking of playing too much...

After leveling a solo sorcerer to 460, I've now matched that with a full party (KKAS). My hopes were to get to the point where I could handle everything with just melee combat - no spells. For the most part, I'm there. I can waltz through the Hive in a few minutes, never cast a spell and never go into turn based and have barely a dent in anybody's hit points. I'm confident I could do the same thing in Hermit's Isle or Paradise Valley if not for the possibility of being eradicated by Supreme Titans. I cleared MOST of Dragonsand that way (breaking things was a bit of a hassle), until I got to...

The Gold Dragons. And I run into the same thing when I do the arena every week. It's not that they are so hard to kill (they're not), it's that they are the one creature that can still do significant damage to my characters in a short period of time. In the arena I can clear them easily enough, but I still have to go into turn-based and stop and repair at least twice and I will still end up with a couple of characters in the yellow and sometimes one in the red in terms of hit points.

They're just off the charts compared to anything else in terms of doing damage. I never knew before how really unusual they are.

Gold Dragons

A good part of that I suspect is that they do energy damage. Which I don't think gets reduced by resistance, so they always do full damage (16D8, or an average of 72 damage per blast). That can add up fast, even when you have HP in the thousands. I can clear the Arena and Dragonsands using melee weapons only but I still have to repair frequently and my party is at level 836. Using shrapmetal is far easier.

That's certainly not the case, low-level characters get hurt more badly than the high-levels.
