    My cousins, who work for Santa, have chided me for not bringing out this year's Happy, Hoppy Holiday Brew sooner. Actually, the name is a little it of a misnomer, since winter brews are traditionally a lot spicier, with a lot less hops than summer brews. Of course, since it's magic, it will taste however you like it, and will make you happy (silly even, if you want it to,) but will never, ever make you drunk or hung over the next day. Here are a couple of kegs for the Tavern, with a special Elf-made beer mug for you, Bones. Enjoy! (The Elf family has recently discovered a German treat that was new to us: gluhwein. Gott in Himmel, where has it been all our life? My mug of holiday ale will definitely taste of cinnamon, cloves, red wine, and oranges.) With love to all from Papa Elf, Mama Elf, and Baby Elf.

    Oh, yes. The addition to the family. Papa Elf and I now have Baby Elf living with us. She's a very welcome addition to our family. She loves tablet games, but just can't see CRPG's. Oh, well. . . . (In RL, Baby Elf is our younger daughter moved back in with us for mutual benefit. This formerly rebellious teenage kid who was loud, argumentative, and a constant worry is now a soft-spoken gem to have around. She's helpful, considerate, and a lot of fun to be around. Amazing how being a grandmother civilizes a person! So all you parents of "impossible" kids, have patience. When they're the age you are now, they'll undoubtedly be the fine adults you dreamed of their being.
