I don't have time to play it myself, but I'd be extremely interested in what you and others think of it. 08/19/2013, 18:40:19

Avoid this 08/21/2013, 06:16:11

St.Germaine writes:
I would avoid this. They want $30 to be part of what they call an "early access game". Sounds like they want you to pay for being an Alpha tester. And probably NO guarantee that any characters you build up can be imported to the gold release. AND you will probably have to pay MORE money to even get the gold release!!

Jeff writes:
To be fair you also are paying for the final release version of the game as well as all updates along the way. Also if you are waiting for the "Gold" version or boxed deluxe version be sure you live where you will be able to buy it. Ubisoft is very secretive as to why it is not available everywhere, particularly not available in North America.

It should. I have never met a game which would not run under Wine (after some effort). 08/23/2013, 08:23:03

from the game on Steam I have tried to find skills tab .
There is a picture of some lvl 17 Orc Barbarian's attributea and inventory sheet - above inventory he has
some icons, without descriptions - I suppose it is something like skills . I really liked the system in 6-9

M&M X 08/26/2013, 17:51:38

Sherwin writes:
I must say I am thoroughly enjoying this game. You are not only purchasing the Early Access, you will also receive all updates as well as the final game. I just finished up world of xeen so jumping to this game was not a difficult transition. If you are a fan of M&M 3-5 I would urge you to purchase the game. The more people that purchase the game the better the chance they will create another iteration which will possibly be closer to M&M 6-7 (didn't really enjoy 8 or 9). I also like the fact that they are very open with their development and taking input from fans. There are a lot of bugs and the game is certainly alpha, however it is still very enjoyable.

Hey guys! Long time no chat. I came as soon as I heard! lol
I want to thank you for your feed back. I want to know about this game! I have only played Might and Magic 6, 7 and 8 and loved all of them. Not to say 3-5 was not amazing. I just never had the chance to play them. Will I love Might and Magic X Legacy do you think? Should we get the Early Access version?

Early Access 09/04/2013, 18:27:27

Sherwin writes:
The early access is fairly buggy. I've had save games corrupt and many other bugs BUT I am enjoying it. If you do purchase the early access version keep in mind you are alpha/beta testing the game. The game is in no way complete and missing lots of features. As for the skills system, it is fairly similar to other M&M games albeit a slight bit simpler. Things are changing though so its hard to say what will be finalized. I follow the game via the developer website/forums.http://might-and-magic.ubi.com/mightandmagicx-legacy/en-us/home/index.aspx

Thank you for sharing that link with us. May I ask what kind of processor you are playing MMX on and how smoothly it runs? I'm using a dual core processor and I cannot find anything on the website about system requirements.Chris

PC Setup for MMX 09/10/2013, 18:47:26

Sherwin writes:
I am running the game on a 27" 2560x1440 monitor. CPU is AMD FX4100 OC'd to 4GHZ 8GB RAM and an AMD 7850 vid card. It looks really good to me but I'm not too picky about visuals in a game. I'm sure the game will run fine on lower level CPU's/vid cards on lower settings though.

About system specs - the game is horribly optimized right now, even ppl with very good hardware have low fps on high settings sometimes, but again, it's an alpha! Using lowest settings, I suppose any reasonable modern PC should play it (its Unity engine). 09/11/2013, 07:48:49

Well, I'm a fan of MM6+ more than MM5-, but I'm loving this game so far. I must tell you the truth - it's insanely buggy right now, and the "EA" version is very small - you get to play one 1-level dungeon, one 2-level dungeon and two 3-level dungeons, which have levels that are about 20x20 tiles in size. Plus 2 mini dungeons (basically a miniboss) and 1 small puzzle room. Plus a reasonably sized outdoor region (I'd say like one map window in XEEN). But it's so fun to be playing something that is really "like" Might and Magic again. Just keep in mind that the game will be out in around half a year at best - so right now and for half a year all you will be able to do is play those several first levels and chat with developers. And there's no guarantee the game will end up good. So far they have to cut a lot of features many people would love to see - like, items you equip don't visually show on character dolls, all items take up 1 slot, no alchemy, simple shop interface (just a list of objects instead of proper "shelves" like in MM6+), no acromage, automatic level up (no need to visit training centre), no miscellaneous skills, and so on. But I have high hopes because it seems the team that is behind the game is really passionate about it, and inside the boundaries by Ubisoft (like, no sci-fi, etc) they try to do their best to please the fans.
