The early access is fairly buggy. I've had save games corrupt and many other bugs BUT I am enjoying it. If you do purchase the early access version keep in mind you are alpha/beta testing the game. The game is in no way complete and missing lots of features. As for the skills system, it is fairly similar to other M&M games albeit a slight bit simpler.
