That's kinda my point though with the money thing. I paid money for it and they should support it, and test the heck out of their programs before putting them out. Also if a lot of people have problems running their program on an OS they say it's compatible with on the box, then they should patch it. I do give props to their creative, and gameplay team, but their support and programming team need a stern talking to IMHO. :-)I will try actually creating a seperate shortcut when I get home. I'd been running from the shortcut it puts in the start menu, or just opening the mm8.exe file directly from it's folder in Program Files.
I don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but the program does seem to work fine when I disable my sound card in the device manager, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna play through the whole game with no sound. :-P I'm certain at this point it's a sound issue, and I suspect DirectX 9 may be part of the problem. The installer said it didn't recognize the version of DX I had (9a on all three computers I tried it on) when I was installing it. Someone told me to try renaming the DX folder, and installing 7 from the CD, but I'm scared that might seriously F up my computer. :-/
Anyway, I'll keep j00 all posted. Thanks for the feedback.
