This is a purely 2D feature, so it shouldn't tax anyone's system. However, we have found that some of the newer operating systems don't like the DLLs that run the videos.Bring up an Explorer window and do a search of your computer for 'binkw32.dll'. You'll probably find several versions, including the one in your MM8 folder. Rename that version (or move it to another folder) and copy your latest version of binkw32.dll to your MM8 folder.
Look in the folder where you found the new binkw32.dll. There should be a file named 'smackw32.dll' there as well. Rename or move the version of smackw32.dll in your MM8 folder and move the newer smackw32.dll there in its place. Try launching MM8 again and let us know if this did the trick.
