That rule has been here since I first visited these taverns (well, actually, there was only the MM6 tavern back then) several years back and 3DO/NWC were still very much alive back then.If we would have told pirates how to fly and other things that can easily be found in the manual then, then we almost certainly wouldn't have had MM9 and probably not MM8 either.
So in keeping these rules alive, we at least stand by our principles that pirating is not tolerated in here in any form, be the victim a prospering, poor or even dead company.
