I'm shocked that you could even suggest such a thing .

I had some problem finding the DxDiag.exe program, it wasn't in the C:windows\system folder, a search revealed files with that name in four other places. I disabled and enabled everything and things seemed to work for a while as long as I stayed away from the previously killed monsters, but then the problem started again. The only software changes I had made was the weekly update of virus protection and firewall whatever. I'm using windows xp.
