It must have been another version indeed.

I tried to enter the mountains in the Isle of Fire in my Ultimate Archives version of MM3 and even though my map showed I`d been up there, there was no getting back up. The files for this version are dated Nov. 2nd 1995.

I didn`t think I still had the pirated version, but I do. On an old laptop (386SX, iic, running Windows 3.11 for workgroups ) it was awaiting its final performance. Having no boot disk for that computer I copied it to my P233 with win98 SE. (YES I can still ARJ and BUP and UNBUP, hooray!) The win98 one I had a boot disk for at the ready, heh. In this version, files dated Jan. 10th 1992, I can etherealize into any mountain I want in the Isle of Fire.

It probably does not have anything to do with it being a pirated version, only that it`s pirated from an early or even the first version of MM3 available. What`s the date of your MM3.EXE?

Should you want to have a savegame where you can see all the mountains in your automap, email me, fander at mightandmagicgrove dot com, and I`ll send the savegame to you. I`ll upload it to the MM Grove instead if you prefer. This is more so that I can prove that I made the map correctly, instead of photomanipulating the image. It is going to be hard enough to handle the attacks Lord Godwinson will soon launch at me, so at the very least I need to establish that I am not a photomaipulator as well.
