Infinite hourglass in Verhoffin's Ruins

    I am trying to do a minimum kill game. In the past, I've been able to do the mage quest part of Verhoffin's ruins only having to kill the two skeletons at the top of the ramp. I thought for this game I would try and see if I could avoid it by using Turn Undead. Well, the Turn Undead spell worked, except that when I go into turn-based mode to avoid the Terrors in the room with the key, I get an hourglass that won't go away. I'm assuming it has something to do with the Turn Undead spell (which I cast in real-time mode).

    Does anyone have any suggestions for how to avoid this? The party is not able to take a beating from two Terrors without fighting back.
