My rule in all MM games I have played so far is: go for might OR magic (my preference). If you try to find a nice mix of both you are stuck with the disadvantages of both and too few of the advantages. And knights are a waste of space. Of course archers are .... No I won't get started on those totally useless creatures .... (Deep breath) Of course a lot of people disagree about this, and since you seems to be one of them, I hope you'll enjoy the game. (Good, the guy has taken off with the knigh and Cauri, maybe now we can find a good party among the rest of us. Too bad about Freddi though.)What we do agree about is that it is nice to finish the game with the people you started with. It helps that by the time most people are interested in joining up, the originals are better. I have usually started with a dark elf and kept the first four people who joined up. For a 3 characters party with no swappin allowed I think I would choose lich + vamp + priest.
Surely there must be levitate scrolls for sale somewhere?
