    Or has my memory played tricks on me again? I know it was scary at the time, but makes more sense. That way you have to take a risk to get the boost.

There were reports - possibly by Timbecile but I can't remember for sure - that the intention was to have them appear by the fountain, like the wells in White Cap and Rockham where archers appear around you, but TTBOMK they never did so.

    I think at least 3 years ago but probably longer. I remember that I saved a game and did it a couple of times after drinking from the well again to make sure I had all of them. I counted corpses, IIRC. I have only been an occasional poster here though I've been here off and on for many years. Glad to see somebody new playing the game, by the way. I tried posting this under my original board name of X-a-n-a-x (without the dashes) and got a message that I've been banned. I'm quite sure I never did anything offensive here.
