Thank you for the very helpful hints.I screwed up again -- happened to run into the guy wandering around Deyja, talked to him, and next time i checked, the six scrolls were gone. So I don't have a way to read them, unless I retrace and search for them anew.
I seem to recall some discussion regarding Grandmaster Dark -- it appears to be unobtainable in the BDJ mod, since the King's Chamber in Castle Gloaming is locked. Is that indeed the case?
Regarding the Soul Jars: Like others, I found the jars in Thunderfist Mountain and turned them in to Resurrectra. She accepted them, the quest was removed from my list, and the official history celebrated their having been stolen. But I couldn't find Robert The Wise -- nobody home.
So I decided to go back to Castle Gloaming and look for the correct ones. Found the chest, but there were no Soul Jars inside. However, on my next trip to Celeste, Resurrectra met me at the portal, and said Robert The Wise wanted to see me. So apparently the act of opening the chest in Castle Gloaming reset whatever variable that was needed to trigger the next step.
