party (Speed about 100, + Haste Potion, plus high level Bless spell) has recovery close to 30, your party delivers 12-14 effective blows/shots per round (game minute). This way the game engine is a bit confused, it tries to calculate when it's monster's time to hit - and the quickest ones have their recovery at 40-50. and they get hit and stunned and have to have time to recover from blows. And they can put a blow in only two or three rounds.
And in real-time mode - as you press "A" and keep it pressed for some time - it's like a squirt of machine-gun bullets.
So make a test. Get blasters and fight
1. In real-time mode hitting A repeatedly
2. In turn-based mode hitting A repeatedly (each time waiting for a blow to finally miss or hit a target and a monster to do a jerking)
3. In real-time mode pressing A and not releasing it
4. In turn-based mode pressing A and not releasing it
And it's up to you how to play.
I event think that in cases 3 and 4 the game is faulty.
I think that cases 3 and 4 means that the game is faulty and operates the way it should not.
