I have Win XP and am having issues in starting up MM7. It installs just fine (with the exception of it telling me I have a 113 mhz CPU and Direct X instead of Direct X 9c, but I know it is just because it doesn't recognize what I have). However, when I try to run the game, I get a grey screen and then a Microsoft error box telling me I need to send an error report (which I decline).From the research I have done, it looks like I have uncompatibility due to hardware acceleration, and if I change the video settings from Hardware Accelerated 3D to Software 3D, and disable the 3D accelerated sound, I should be ok. However, I have also heard if I do that, I could get sound choppiness, and to be honest, I would like to avoid that if I can.
I heard Mok's current patch (1.2) can resolve that and have seen Peter2 give that a few times on this board. Although when I got to that link (http://strony.aster.pl/mokmtg/mm7_eng_xp.exe) it brings me to a website for an electronics company called Aster (and is in French, to boot).
My questions are, does anyone have another link to Mok's patch and do I still need to have the 1.1 patch, as in Mok's description for his 1.2 patch he says that v1.1 is included in it?
Any help would be appreciated.
