I disagree about druids - strongly.

Druids are not a "faltering class between Clerics and Sorcerers" they are specialists in their own right and their main advantage is really GM meditation. Of course you should not "dump" all magic on one druid (were you thinking of a DKKK team?) but as a part of a magic team one druid earns her/his place and a team of four druids with GM20+ in meditation are really capable of taking out anything, imagine them throwing fireballs at titans (that is about 120 fireballs each) or raining sparks on the devils in the temple of Baa (I'm not imagining it and it is an impressive sight).

Speaking of Baa - a druid in the early stages of the game with the cloak of the sheep and E earth and E mind are invaluable when you go after the medusas in the red dwarf mines.

They are also good fighters, with M in dagger, and equiped with two daggers, they can kill a dragon without using magic.

I'm not sure that clerics should be counted as one of the most powerful classes, on the dark path probably, then they have some good offensive spells but for a light party they have only two advantages over a druid - GM protection from magic (for fighting Tolberti) and power cure. I'm trying to imagine a team of CCCC and it does not seem fun.
