Former Kriegspiere castle was scary at first, because I wasnt sure what to do, damn golems. But with 2 quick sparks caster, it was a walk in the park. My party is KACD but I think there maybe better combinations possible. KPAS would be more efficient, I guess. Because IMHO, having melee fighters (tanks) is crucial. Having cleric is a waste and I didnt like the druid either. You need 3 fighters each of them specialises in different weapon (sword, spear and axe to be exact). They each can do around 100-140 damage in mid-game. Sorcerer for heavy duty spells like TP, LB and couple light magic echanter spells (day of gods is essential since there is no NWC dungeon, hour of the day is a must). Archer is a backup LB caster to increase the slots. Also and hybrid paladin will cover your ass with his body skill improved. I was never in need of healing almost whole game (being a heavy loader/saver myself, not to mention using LB&temple combo frequently). So to sum up, either using Ice weapons or “of Gods” artifact weapons, you can beat a mid-level physical resistant boss with around 1000 HP, in less than 10 seconds with 3-fine-melee men. So keep these in mind.
PS: How in the frick did Jim fit those big-ass, brown and apey foos in to that little room in forbidden vault. It is also allows you to do indefinite melee fighting, and also XP.
