Please remind me what the Protection from Magic spell does 06/29/2009, 13:53:01

Gay Lord writes: I know in the later MMs it's actually very useful, yet I have the impression that it sucks in 6, since I don't remember ever casting it. Is it supposed to be just Protection from (earth) magic, like the other elemental spells? Does it have a use? It's been a few years since I've played.
