    I agree wholeheartedly that the keenness of a glass (or obsidian) edge is unmatched. The problem with the material is that it is extremely brittle, and if it comes into violent contact with a tougher material of reasonable hardness, it breaks. This makes it unsuitable for a martial weapon, as I said.
