Dark Messiah Single player campaign Review 10/28/2006, 14:14:29 |
Alright folks here goes. I've had it two days, have played it hard and think I'm ready to give you the lowdown. To give you some background, I've played CRPGs for 15 years and pen and paper D&D before that. All the way through Times of lore, Drakkhen, Stonekeep, Dungeon Master. The early M&M's, and the "Krynn" games.
My first observations were it takes a LONG time to install this beast. Fairly complex with a lot of third party software going in too, if you want multiplayer (I don't).
My initial impressions were that it looks nice, I like the animations of the enemies and of your guy.
The nearest game to compare it to in looks and feel is Dungeon Lords, to which it is VERY similar.
I also have to say this, it is not Might and Magic. Not as I know it. it is also not a Roleplay game.
Character development is very dumbed down and character creation (which I love) is non existent.
So out of 10 Gameplay- 5
Any questions?, or anyone want it?. |
