Assertion failure crashing problem in MM6 06/06/2003, 02:52:53

turbo_tpl writes: All of a sudden, after getting 90% of the way through the MM6 game, it has become unplayable due to crashes (unloading to desktop) with the message: "Assertion failed at 2112 in E:\Might & Magic VI\code\party.cpp" Anybody run into this before? Any possible solutions? I'm running Windows 98 with an ATI 9500 video card. Strangely, I don't have an E:\ drive, nor is there any file named party.cpp anywhere.
