Game freezes while trying to open inventory

    I started the game and tried to open the inventory or the spell book,menu...the computer freezed for 2 minutes and than it opened what i wanted. It would be a pain to play like this.
    i have windows xp and the hardware is much better than it needs to be, i tried the patches but nothing changed.
    the game ran on my older computer

It might be your graphics card

    If not, I don't remember if this game offers a choice between hardware and software graphics mode like the previous ones did. If it does, I'd recommend you change it from whatever mode it's in now to the other one and try that.
