I downloaded the MM level editor from sourceforge, but when I open it, it says, "Only works on directories of extracted resources -- Use AutoLod or MM8LevelEditor to import/export" so I'm now looking for the original MM8 level editor. I have found Stormcats MM7 view. Will it do the same thing?
I didn't want to post, because it's so long since I used St0rmcat's MM7 editor . 05/15/2010, 18:54:03

I can't remember exactly how to use it, but I do remember that it is extremely powerful. It was certainly capable of doing far more than I needed at the time, and all I really did was to wander through the options. I never actually used it to anything else except to edit the Lich Jars in during the one game in which the Lich Jar bug bit me.
I've been using MM7view and it is fantastic, but MM8Level editor is even better as far as I can gather. I've yet to use it myself
but I'm looking forward to doing so.
MM8level editor is a modding tool which works for MM6-8 which is
why I originally posted this query in the MM6 tavern whereas MM8che is a character editor for "cheating." Thanks for trying though.
I only use the CHE editors occasionally for specialty parties (MM8 mostly), but as far as level editing goes, that in the modders realm and I am not a modder by a long shot.
