I don't know for certain. It might work, but I'm not all that hopeful.

I'm totally out of touch with present-day programming, but years ago, when I knew a bit more about it, I was told that the games writers took advantage of every little wrinkle that they could squeeze out of the system to get more speed. Certainly in the days of DOS games, they made extensive use of undocumented DOS calls in the game engines. If they're continuing to do things like that you could have problems.

I know that some years ago, a pal of mine tried to run an early M&M using a PC emulator on a Mac, and that didn't work at all.

It was only really made for the more famous OSs. I.e. Microsoft and apple, and even then it's a bugger to get it working with apple- however one of my friends has managed it and I have NO idea now.

a Longer answer would be: yes if you're willing to reprogram the entire damned game. It'd probably be more economical to just get another OS. However I do understand some people like challenges and projects to take up their free time.

instaling a virtual machine WINE on linux operating system
make posible to run any windows based program working on linux
found in another forum that World of Warcraft can be Run on LINUX OS by using WINE as virtual machine.
so i did install WINE on LINUX .
then JUST run the Install DISK Via WINE.
I then run the autorun.exe via WINE
    and the game work

but I am under the impression that almost anything that runs on Windows OS and Macintosh OS can run on Linux using OS emulators... kind of the same concept as running old MS-DOS games on XP using a DOS emulator.

correct me if im wrong though... I know nothing about Linux... yet

Ive been successful to run mm8 on linux

you run through "wine" which is a windows emulator... some complications may occur but eventually it runs just fine.

here is a reference to mm8 page on wine compatibility database
