Missing vase in Markham's Manor? 12/05/2007, 08:15:10
|
Legolas writes:
Has anyone encountered this? I don't have a thief in my part, but I did the quest anyway, just for giggles. Anywho, there was no vase to steal in Markham's Manor. One thing that is different is that this is my first run-through with a new copy of the game I just bought. My last one had issues with the .exe file.Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this.
By the way, both my copies I had purchased from Sold-out.com through Amazon. Best Regards, Leg.

St0rmcat's MM7view works fine, but lacks a bit in user-friendliness, IIRC. 12/05/2007, 14:24:49

Iirc, it`s an early edition bug. 12/06/2007, 04:04:27

Fander Treespook writes:
If you do not take the vase the first time you enter Lord Markham`s Manor, it will be lost. That, of course, includes only entering to talk to Lord Markham and then leaving again.Still, the solution is as suggested above, unless you want to go back to an ealier savegame.

You aren't guilty. Using an editor isn't a cheat. 12/06/2007, 07:23:43

I have met this bug as well. Patching to 1.1 does not help, the bug is present still. Because it's a bug and not your fault, don't hesitate fixing it by means of a game editor.
A note about mm7che and mm8che: both of them are rich, user friendly and easy to use editors but ...
One of them (I think it is mm7che) *must* be placed in the root directory of your game (that means, in the directory, where you installed the game, not in your save game directory). Simply unpack mm7che somewhere and try. If the editor want's you to fill in the save game directory then you need not move it anywhere else. Fill in the directory and the editor should produce a list of saved games. If the editor finds nothing and if it does not offer an entryfield for the save game directory then move mm7che.exe in your MM7 directory and try again.

was with MM8CHE. This program was based on MM7CHE and the directory location tries to defauto to MMVII. All you have to do is add an extra "I" to MMVII in the search path and it works just fine.

When you get to that page, scroll down the menu on the left hand side until you see Retro Dungeon Menu. Both the Rune locations and a map for each of the retros is there. **SPOILER** The Wraith and Guardians holding the Artifact are in the ONLY room with a faerie ring to portal out. (there is only one on the whole map)
