No, there is no quest directly connected with that, but . . .

    I can't remember who discovered this, but it was a nice piece of work.

    There's also a very interesting room in there. It gives to access to 4 teleporters which some people have found useful.

Triggering that teleporter room always takes me a few goes

Yes. In theory, you should only need to go round the room once, but . . .

And once you're triggered the teleporter room to open, mostly the game transports you there, but occasionally you have to make your own way. I've never worked out why and what makes the difference. Maybe it's the way I hold my mouth?
