    Hi,

Posting on MM6 site as advised by Bones

currently playing another run through of MM7. have encountered a problem which I have not come across before. When I load any of my save games and cast the fly spell I immediately fly up to the max. I cant move forward of backward. can rotate left or right. have tried sleeping and recasting the fly spell to no avail I have also uninstalled and reinstalled also to no avail.

Any one else come across this problem?

Sorted by a reboot. should have done that prior to posting my first post.

That certainly is strange. Did you reboot the computer or just close and relaunch the game?

I've found that the occasional hard reboot helps all sorts of things, not just computers.

I've found that glitches on my previous cell phone – I've had no trouble with my present one – could often be solved by turning it off, leaving it for a while, and then turning it back on. Similarly, when our so-called "smart" TV lost one of its apps, turning the power off for 15 minutes and then turning it back on again restored it.

There have been a couple of instances where my Kindle has needed sterner treatment and I've had to restore the factory settings, but apart from those it's still going strong and I've had the thing for years.

The application that has given my laptop most trouble is Microsoft Teams. From time to time it loses my connection to the meeting I'm in, and cannot restore it. I then have to reboot the computer to get it back. That's never happened with Zoom, by the way.

We used to use Skype for video-conferencing, but over time the quality of the link deteriorated to a point at which it was unusable, especially the video part of it.

Well, I can only think of the keyboard acting out.

I have no idea why, but it sometimes happens to me as well. For instance everything suddenly starts to behave as if a Shift key was pressed, although there was nothing pressing on either of my keyboards, and all four Shifts have clearly been not pressed.

However, I find that just pressing a Shift puts everything in order. My theory would be that this happens when the "key released" event is somewhere erroneously lost or thrown away, Maybe something similar happened here with the Page Up key? (That would be probably recognizable in other applications.)
