This sounds like the problem is the optical drive. I think the game will work if you can put a nice, old-fashioned CD drive into the computer. There is one hidden problem that you should be aware of. The installed game will want to access the play disk from the same location from which it was installed. I'm not sure if merely re-assigning the drive letters will work. Try it, but you might have to uninstall the game and then re-install from the new (old) drive.Please let us know how you make out. Cheers!
