If so, I've never done that, so I can't say for certain what happens. However, I suspect it introduces an incompatibility into the game. Hopefully this will be in the new minisave, because if it's in your savegame files, I suspect that it's equivalent to a corrupted savegame and you're metaphorically sunk with all hands. The only things I can think of are:

(1) for you to save your game now while your party is in Guberland city, exit the game, and then delete the Guberland country minisaves again. That should force another respawn while your party is out of the way, or if that doesn't work,

(2) save your savegame files to a secure location and reinstall the game and its patches. This is along the same lines as (1), but is a bit more drastic.
