Completely agree that MM3 is the best of all RPG games. However, there are three I definitely prefer to Crusaders of the Dark Savant, although I certainly thought Crusaders was pretty good.Outside the MM games, my favourites were Eye of the Beholder (EOB1), The Legend of Darkmoon (EOB2), and Ultima Underworld 2. Then came, in no particular order, Bane of the Cosmic Forge, Ultima Underworld 1, and Assault on Myth Drannor (EOB3).
And I still occasionally play Level 9's version of the original Crowther-Woods "Adventur" game - filenames in those days were limited to 8 letters. I have been known, when stuck in a traffic jam or when delayed in an airport, to mutter "PLUGH" to myself, but it hasn't worked so far. (That might give some of the older hands a laugh.) I also sometimes still play the "Rogue"-like low-graphics game "Moria," which I always thought was great fun.
