Hello, i have windows xp pro, core 2 duo processor, pc6400 ram, nvidia 8600 gts video card, xfi xtreme gamer sound, and something here is causing that 6 to 7 second delay when opening any menus in the game. i have tried the xp compatibility program, trying win 95, wind 98, the 256 color, the small screen, basically all the options.i have tried drivers all the way down to the 30.82, most of them wont even install because i get a message saying they arent compatible with my hardware. i upgraded to the very latest driver, i went from 163.71 to 169.21, and now the delay is something like 20 to 25 seconds, so i have gone back to the 163.71 for the wonderful 6-7 second delay.
any advice would be appreciated. really want to play this again. it worked fine on my old amd 1700 pc with its geforce 5600, but its dead and buried. Thanks for reading this and to anyone that can help.
