Character creation and development

    Every character has its strengths and weaknesses. For example, none of the magic users can achieve grandmastery in the use of any form of armour, although the druid can become a GM in dodging, which is equivalent to armour. Similarly, none of the fighters can become a GM in any form of magic. The assassin is the only character who can attain GM in disarm traps, which is what the display meant when you right-clicked on it.

    How a character develops is up to you and only you, the game does not help you. You have to give your characters the skills, you have to assign skill points to increase his abilities in those skills, and you have to find the teachers who will train him to use those skills more effectively, and pay the teachers for their time and effort. So the assassin, after much preparation, training, and expenditure of skill points, can become a grandmaster in disarming traps, but every step of the process needs input from you.

    Character development is half the fun of the game.
