After posting a reply to your message, I decided to give it a last shot, so I installed the game again, applied the patches and ran the game... and I had the same problem! But then, a sudden inspiration came to me as to what could be the problem... so I went back to the desktop and closed the windows sidebar, the infamous one with all my gadgets (clock, calendar, etc) and ran the game again... and voilá, I can play mm7, mm8 and mm9 on windows vista ultimate 64-bit edition.I'm sooooo happy right now
