Cast Turn Undead, and it will flee back up the path. Chase it right back into the long underground passage by which you entered the "ravine" part of the Chasm. It will not go past the far end of this passageway, so you can shoot it to death safely as long as you keep a Turn Undead spell active. Rest in the passageway if necessary, then just go out for the next one. There are other places where you can trap undead and keep them pinned in a dead end while you kill them. It takes time, but you can do the whole Chasm like this.
