Also, neither one of them is a first-person game; you will be looking down upon your party members all the time.My son loves NWN, chiefly because he loves to create his own dungeons (not that he's ever finished any; he just loves to play around with it). But even the short canned adventure it comes with is entertaining.
If you can stand the 3-D motion (I can't endure it for very long at a time without motion sickness) Morrowind seems more M&M-like. It's first person, anyway and the rule system is not D&D. The drawback is that you can't buy the skills; you have to use them to gain skill levels.
