Failed reading registry
Saw the thread way down below about fixing the artifact limit that is set in the game. When first starting the game I ran in and out of the high level keep on Isle of Ashes picking up some items. Now am not able to get no artifact though never picked up any (maybe elsewhere in the place others spawned that were lost because i did not get them - sounds like MM8 type thing).
Did download the artifact fix program for resetting the artifacts
but after unzipping when trying to run i get the "Failed reading registry" error and am not sure how to get around that. Right now i have no artifacts. Though the format for saving is slightly different so that item editting is not the same is there an editor which will give me the ability to just go ahead and choose maybe four artifacts i would have worked to get and i'm willing to call it even? If getting the artifact fix done will artifacts that showed up originally in chests i did not get to respawn also? At this point I would not like restarting the game to just get a limitted number of artifacts but there are a few that would have been nice to have and i would have reloaded a few times trying to make sure that i got artifacts of choice given the option earlier in the game. Am confused why this is set in the game so where only money is in black chests past a certain point. Seems a little silly to have someone vest much into disarm traps so that just when they have the ability to disarm the most dangerous traps is there the skill is not so much needed anymore anyhow, not even having other high level items in chests such as in MM6 through MM8.Anyhow, stumbling into some issues onto this and not sure anyone knows how to get the registry problem fixed or if items are lost more like MM8 once they show up even if it does get fixed. I already lost some play time at the beginning to one glitch that has Yrsa disappear before you get the key if you duck into the dungeon on the Isle before getting the key from her (she simply disappears and you are not able to get through the door to get off the island).
