I also found M&M9 to be strangely addictive. When I first started playing it, I hated it and was going to quit almost before I began. But I have stuck with it. The things I miss in this game is the Old inventory, the new "Paperdoll" like inventory is a little sad compaired to 7 & 8 where you got to see you player actually dressed up and ready to party. I also miss Fly & Invisibility. And I really dont like the inability to see your players conditions-what spells are active ect... I have learned in 9 to depend more on Might than Magic, which has given me a different out look on play. What I do like is the beautiful architecture of the buildings in the larger cities, I like the look and feel of the 3-d game engine, although seeing the same faces over and over on the ncps gets a tad bit old.I think that if 9 had been given a fair chance and was released as a fully completed game, it would have been great. As the last in the M & M line, it is a little sad and doesn't live up to 7 which is my personal favorite.
