Hi folks, I've scoured the internet as well as all of the M&M forums for a possible answer to this, but nothing has been able to directly address my problem.
I have a new machine with a clean install (not upgrade) of WinXP Pro. When I attempt to install any of the M&M's (5-9, doesn't matter), I get the autorun splash screen, then the Welcome box (click "next"), followed by the License Agreement box. A second after I click "yes", a little error window for InstallShield Engine pops up, telling me that I can't proceed. This happens every time, with every game. In case you're wondering, here's the error info:
AppName: _ins5576._mp AppVer: 5.53.168.0 ModName: chkreqs.dll
I have tried running the setup.exe in every available compatibility mode, but no dice. Chkreqs.dll doesn't show up under a search, so I'm assuming it's a temp file that's churned out by installshield. Is there a work-around for this, or is there something I can do to my registry? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
