their lead designer retired but some progress stil exists. I misunderstood their date writing system - last post I found was dated with 30 July 2003. Take a look in homepage gallerie - some screenshots from demogame, two original artworks - Vori (!!!) snowelf portrait and red dragon, some map projects. Really hard to say are they still working but probably answer is positive. They acknowledged their own engine to be used and as I understand it is a LOT of work. Also game world is enormous huge. Linked abowe site and forum both are for suggestions and questions from fan community; game creators have their own closed forum.
Why you cannot contact their former lead designer and ask? He is a young guy on top thread of forum. Thread theme can be translated "Le Roi est mort, viva le Roi!" and his subscription u should read as "Dura lex sed lex" P.S. It seems you understand russian too (yes, they are looking for designers).
