As the old song says. . .

    The Elf Herself writes:

..."Strange things are a-happening!" Baby Elf (who finally reached the magic age of 65 where you can get a lot of discounts in shops and restaurants, cheaper tickets to symphony concerts and civic theater/theatre plays and national and state park entry fees, etc., and yes, we both are routinely asked to show proof of age) says it's no doubt because of all the solar flares. I don't know, but I think it's possible. We haven't been able to see the various eclipses, special moons, auroras, and comets where we live--we're noted for our trees: almost every city street has trees planted by the city. The shade is welcome, but unfortunately, every civic tree is deciduous. Does make it hard to see celestial activities and fireworks, though.
We three have noticed odd things with computers and television broadcasts. (Didn't mean to go all Bullwer-Lyton--just got carried away!)*
*Bullwer-Lyton: "It was a dark and stormy night....ad infinitum"
