The same is true for other preplaced artifacts -- Excalibur, Mordred, Igraine, and Guinevere. You can find them by chance by Mephistoing dragons, and of course, they're also in their preplaced locations.I've found the same to be true with artifacts/relics in MM7; seems like in one game, I'd found two Old Nick daggers. I can't remember if one was found on Morcarack and the other was found elsewhere, perhaps on a blood titan or in a chest in their Stronghold...it's been entirely too long ago now...
