I had no issues on Win7 with either VI/VII/VIII. Does the autoplay pop up and start? I would try first to open the CD Computer icon. Find the setup and use Run as Admin. If that does not work, then use a flash/external drive and copy the whole directory from your old system. I had to do that with Warlords III DLR.
