All the odd-numbered Civs were great ground-breakers. They were fun and entertaining. The even-numbered ones: not so much. Most were hyped-up more than improved. (Civ2 was disappointing, more a padded-up version of the original. Civ3: ground-breaking. The ability to mod your own maps was priceless. Civ4: meh. Civ5: still played by fanatics. Civ6: shunned by all except newbies. {I personally detest it. It sort of reminds me of how M&M10 was received by all us TELPers.})
