Thank you, dear Chlala. I now have a full mouthful of teeth, and am doing well (so far!)
Here in the U. S. (and probably a lot of other countries) are awed by being able to see the Northern Lights overhead--very rare for this latitude! (Solar flare activity.) Unfortunately, we haven't been able to see them from our Elf abode--too many trees in the way, I suppose. I got to wondering: how did the ancient Norse peoples interpret the aurora? Frigga's gown, perhaps? Woden's royal robes? Actually, I have seen the aurora, but farther south in California, down in Bakersfield. It was sometime in the 1950's, I can't remember exactly when. I was just a young kid then. They looked like vast red curtains rippling in the sky--no other colors, just red. Probably because of red's longer wavelength? It was quite dramatic, and unforgettable.
