I personally love exotic* carols, but I'd never heard this one before. In school we used to sing one called "The Christ of the Snow," but it was from somewhere in the Carpathian mountains.
Other favorites are Germany's "Glocken" carol, but I don't know the exact title. When I used to sing in Our Lady of Guadalupe church (in the southern end of California's central valley,) every Christmas we'd sing "Vamos, Pastores, Vamos." ("Come Shepherds, Come.")
