You're both still with us, thank heavens. That reminds me of when I was applying for University, umpteen years ago. I letter arrived for me on about August 10th containing an application form for a place in a Hall of Residence. All applications had to be in by July 31st . . . I did get a place eventually, but as you can imagine, not via that route.
