That teleport room is handy for getting access to various areas for the cost of a single Lloyd's Beacon. From memory, one location is outdoor Free Haven, which is accessible via Town Portal anyway, and two others are dungeon entrances in Castle Ironfist, which could use a single LB, but I can't remember the fourth. I always go there early to place a LB at the portal room
