| Aren't the HoMM Chronicles a later addition to the HoMM/MM genre? Seems to me I first saw "Chronicles" offered quite a few years after plain old HoMMs, which of course were originally an outgrowth of Jon van Canegham's King's Bounty (which preceded Might and Magic,)and was in fact JVC's first love. He liked the adventure genre more than RPG, from what I've read of his history. |
