Although there's a good magic shop there, the one in Paradise Valley is better. Also, there is no weapon shop, armoury, or general store, so there's little point in making a special trip there to sell the proceeds of looting after battle, and I don't remember any trainer there either. Reasons to use the shop might be to mend some magic item after it's been broken in combat in the local area, or for a zero-magic party to buy scrolls, and it would be worth a visit if the shop in Paradise Valley is either inaccessible or waiting to restock, but I can't off-hand think of any others.
